GST alum documentary

Grandstreet Theatre School alum Kim Cosgrove has made a documentary of the Grandstreet Theatre Conservatory. The film will be shown at The Myrna Loy on May 30th at 6 p.m. This documentary was filmed the summer of 2007 and features Kate Dramstad and Christian Munck.

Scholarship audition schedule

Scholarship auditions will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday May 3rd. Please be here at least 15 minutes before your age-group time. Enter through the classroom door. You may stay and watch but please watch from the balcony. Stephen Alexander will be playing for all of those people who have a musical number (unless you bring your own accompanist). Make sure your music is in a folder or stapled to a file folder so it is easy for the accompanist to play.

Scholarship Auditions—May 3, 2008

Scholarship auditions will be held May 3rd at the theatre. This is your opportunity to win a full or half tuition scholarship to our
Summer Theatre School. Or you can win a $150.00 scholarship for any performing arts camp . Application deadline is April 20, 2008.
You should prepare 3 application packets that include:
· Picture and resume
· One letter of recommendation
· Application form
Your audition should include:
· A short introduction
· Two (one for elementary students a 90 second time limit) contrasting pieces (two monologues or one monologue and one song or two songs) less than 3 minutes total.

Housing needed for out-of-town instructors

We need housing for the following:
One male student July 5-Aug. 9
One female instructor July 5-Aug. 9
One family of four July 6-19
Two male instructors July 6-19

Please contact Marianne at 442-4270 if you are interested in housing someone. There is a stipend to help defray the cost or you can trade for tuition!

Banquet

Our annual Banquet will be May 14th at 6:30 p.m at Carroll College. There will be door prizes, scholarships, awards, entertainment, food and lots of laughs. Come and help us celebrate the end of a fabulous year and send off our wonderful senior class in style. The seniors that are graduating are: Jana Barros, Christopher Cordingley, Millie Crain, Kate Dramstad, K.T. Gianoulias, Alexis Graman, Jordyn Greenwood, and Tony Speranza.
